What should be ready before the campaign plan?
The first stage is a discovery conversation and a rules check. We need enough context to decide whether promotion is permitted and what supporters will actually have to do.
Send these items where available:
- The contest rules and organizer’s public contest page.
- Your entry page or profile, plus the exact voting link.
- The contest deadline, including its time zone, and any separate voting close date.
- The audience and locations you hope to reach, and the outcome you want from promotion.
- Any creative assets you own or have permission to use.
We check whether the rules allow outside promotion and paid advertising, who can participate, how votes are submitted, and whether voters must complete steps such as email confirmation or registration. If the rules prohibit outside promotion, we explain that and decline the campaign rather than work around the restriction. The result is a clear go, a go with changes, or a no-go, with the reasoning recorded for you.
This early review also helps make public information about your entry consistent: the contest, the entrant and the action supporters should take are described clearly. For a broader view of the service, see contest marketing; for a focused review, start with the contest rules and risk check.
How do planning and creative turn the rules into a campaign?
The plan translates the rule check into a channel, audience, message and schedule you can review. It also gives you a written projection, clearly labelled as an estimate rather than an outcome.
We set out which promotion channels fit the contest, what each one is meant to do, the creative needed and the assumptions behind the projection. The quote is confirmed in writing before work begins. It depends on the agreed channels, campaign length, locations and creative scope; advertising spend is paid to the platform separately from our fee. Our Source Plan connects the public information about your entry with the messages used in promotion, so the details stay coherent across campaign materials.
Creative can include ad copy, visuals and supporter-facing instructions. You review it before launch. Check that the entry name and category match the organizer’s page, that the voting link is correct, and that every image, clip or music track is cleared for use. The instructions should describe the voter’s actual steps, including any confirmation or sign-in requirement. If you need us to develop those materials, see contest creative and copy.
When the deadline is close, we narrow the plan to the channels and messages that can be prepared and approved in time. We do not skip the rules check to move faster.
What happens when the approved campaign goes live?
Launch begins with a practical check of the path from the promotion to the entry. We open the destination, verify the link and walk through the voting instructions as a supporter would, so the message reflects the real steps.
After you approve the creative and the plan, we launch the agreed activity. That may include paid advertising, creator outreach or consent-based communication with relevant communities, depending on the plan. Paid promotion is managed through the platform’s own advertising system; each channel also has its own review process and community rules. For channel options, explore paid promotion of contest entries and community, email and messenger outreach.
During the campaign, you receive a daily update based on the analytics available to us. It records what ran, platform activity such as spend or clicks where available, changes made and any issue that needs your attention. We keep activity data distinct from the contest’s vote count: a click does not establish that someone completed a vote. If a supporter must confirm an email, register or pass another step, our reminders explain that step; we never help anyone bypass voting protections.
You can also see how the campaign is progressing against the approved plan, with projections kept separate from observed activity.
What does the final report show, and where are the limits?
The wrap-up gives you a usable record of the campaign: which agreed activities ran, which creative was used, what the available platform analytics showed and how actual activity compared with the labelled projection. We note relevant changes made during the campaign and identify what the reporting can and cannot connect to a completed vote.
The report is also a practical starting point for future promotion. You can use it to review which messages were clear, whether the schedule matched the contest deadline and what information supporters needed at the voting page. If your contest uses a public vote combined with judging, keep those outcomes distinct when assessing the campaign; promotion cannot determine the jury’s decision. The contest promotion methodology explains how we approach the work, while our no-bots policy sets out the methods we do not use.
The organizer controls the contest rules and any review of submitted votes, while platforms control ad approval and delivery. We use white-hat methods in line with platform rules and contest rules; we do not use bots, scripts, fake accounts or click farms, and we do not sell votes, followers or engagement. We cannot promise a win, vote total or ranking; we commit to the agreed work, reporting and clearly labelled projections.

Frequently asked questions
What information do you need for the first conversation?
Send the contest rules, the organizer’s page, your entry and voting links, the deadline and the outcome you want from promotion. If you have creative assets or know which audiences you want to reach, include those too. We can then check the rules before recommending any activity.
Can you promote an entry if the contest restricts outside promotion?
No. We check the organizer’s rules before planning promotion. If they prohibit outside promotion, we explain the restriction and decline the campaign rather than suggest ways around it.
Can you promise a specific vote total or contest placement?
No. The campaign can bring agreed promotion and clear supporter instructions, but voters decide whether to complete the voting steps, and the organizer controls how votes are reviewed. We report the platform activity we can observe and label projections as projections; we do not promise a vote count, win or ranking.
Is advertising spend part of your agency fee?
No. Platform ad spend is paid separately from the agency fee. Before work begins, we confirm a written quote based on the agreed channels, campaign length, locations and creative scope.
